Synthetic and gut frets

We offer our frets in two different materials: gut and synthetic. The latter are made of a partially elastic material, whose color recalls gut. They can be positioned and firmly knotted much more easily than gut frets, with the advantage that they do not wear out, and do not absorb moisture from the environment or the player’s fingers. Their roundness remains unchanged despite the repeated pressure they are subjected to during playing.

All frets can be used on these instruments: Violin, Violoncello, Double bass, Pardessus, Violone and all instruments of the Gamba family and Lute family.
