String Gauge Converter

Our sets are based on the system used by Robert de Visée and Francesco Corbetta, with the 4th course in octave and the 5th course re-entrant.

We offer both synthetic strings (type NNG) and gut strings (type HL).

Baroque Guitar with a vibrating length of 65 ÷ 67 cm

The suggested setting has been calculated on a vibrating length of 65 cm and a tension of about 3 Kg.

1° Course

The first course can composed of a single string or double strings.
For single strings we recommend a 48NNG, while for double strings we recommend a pair of 42NNG.
