PLEASE NOTE
These strings have been specifically designed in instruments with vibrating lengths of 41-45 cm (model of luthier Dmitry Badiarov) and with a standard pitch of 415Hz. Any other application is strongly discouraged, as it may result in unsatisfactory acoustic performance and/or cause unwanted breakage, for which we take no responsibility.

Instructions on how to install our strings:
1) It is no longer necessary to pull off the second silver wire of strings 4 and 5. The strings placed on the peg should be left slightly slack so that they can make at least one couple of turns around the peg so as to avoid the ‘shear effect’ of the hole in the peg.
2) If the strings are too long it is possible to cut them at the proper length.
3) During the first phase of tuning, lift the string above the bridge so as not to drag it forward
4) Finally, it is suggested to keep the string out of the of the nut slot/groove so as to balance the tension ‘upstream and downstream’ in the nut itself. Graphite it is not necessary.

Violoncello da spalla F-Red Series 1st E and 2nd A strings

The F-Red Series strings are made of a synthetic dark-red core with a red close wound covering, that leads to acoustic characteristics well comparable to natural gut strings. More information on our F-Red Series can be found at the following link: The new F-Red Series for bowed instruments

Only the 1st E and 2ndA strings are available.

We suggest combining the F-Reds with the basses of the Violoncello lamb gut set ( see above table)
