G Violon strings in beef gut

Smooth gut strings with a varnished surface. The type of varnish we’ve used is the result of a careful research in order to ensure perfect compatibility with the elasticity of the gut, excellent contact with the bow hair, maximum protection against mechanical wear and, finally, improved stability against changes in humidity.
These strings are varnished up to a diameter of 1.70 mm. Starting from the next diameter, strings are only oiled (double bass and violon).
The standard length is 180 cm.

If you prefer to arrange your set by selecting the precise diameters you can add the single strings from the tables below, where the recommended diameters are shown. An increase in diameter corresponds to an increase in tension.

If, on the other hand, you prefer to choose any of the diameters freely, we recommend you to go to the full list of beef varnished gut “HV” strings and close wound “F” strings (in pure silver).
